Re: Does AFF represent OPs as a whole?

I would say no, if is not representative of oneness pentecostalism as a whole. There is a greater proportion of people on here that believe and/or question things that the majority if oneness pentecostals do not believe and/or question.

In a nutshell the percentages are very skewed.

a forum is much more anonymous, and therefore gives the fringe more voice; even the fringe ideas in any person. You prolly wouldn't even want such foment in a church. Would you?

I'm on a sports forum (college) where "OP" means "original poster". This is how they address the person who started the thread.

Amen. How could OP be represented by people who don't believe Acts 2:38 salvation nor that Jesus is God the Father in very person, or baptism in Jesus' name is not the only baptism?

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Amen! So thankful for the Acts 2:38 plan of salvation. There is
no other way! My Pastor has been giving some incredible Bible
studies on the basic beliefs of the Gospel/the Doctrine that was
taught by the early Apostlics! Great for the new converts and
refreshing to the seasoned!

As the Apostle Paul wrote in Galatians 1:8 "But though we, or an
angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that
which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."

Can't be much plainer than that! \o/

Wink Re: Does AFF represent OPs as a whole?

In reply to the ?

No, it is not representative of all. I'm probably considered liberal by mainline UPC churches but I'm still solid Acts 2:38.

There are several oneness organizations represented on this forum as well as a few who accept the trinity.

This forum is on its 3rd or 4th name. The faithful posters have changed.
But at it's core it is still a method for oneness Pentecostals to converse.
Often with differing opinions

But, I have found the discussions to be learning experiences. We do not need to be in lock step in order to live for the Lord.
If you're new to a Pentecostal experience, the forum may not be a good fit.

The exchange of opinions is not always in agreement with most OP pastors.

For me sixty + years associated with the UPC; Baptized and filled with the HG in 1960.....3rd generation oneness.

The forum is entertaining and educational but can also be irreverent.

Just be aware, and be strong in your beliefs. And enjoy!
