Re: Guns and the Bible
Oh and by the way, the meek shall inherit the earth during the Millennial reign.

Re: Guns and the Bible
This will be a time that we can beat our swords into plowshares(no more guns)....
Someday, Jesus will make sure, the meek shall inherit the earth....
Isaiah 11:4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

Re: Guns and the Bible
You know what? All of this talk about guns and the bible reminds me of a story of a sister in my church. She was in her home, and a man had a gun pulled out, a shotgun I believe, aimed right at her face. Staring at the gun, and her attacker, she began to pray, and call on Jesus. As she was calling Jesus' name, God got ahold of that gun, and the man, shakily, started turning the gun around to his face, as if someone grabbed his hands and forced it around. Before he knew it, the gun was faced right at him, aimed at his head.
She didn't have any weapons, no guns to pull out on the attacker, no fighting moves to disarm him. Nothing but faith, and belief in Jesus. It's pretty sickening and sad to see how so many people profess to know God, to believe in God, to be full of God, and to have faith in God, then go and lose it just at the time they mostly need it.
I guess that I've witnessed too many miracles, been through too many trials, had life and death situations, wherein God brought me out, to believe that He would leave me in my direst need. Also, as Christians, we aren't suppose to be trying to save our lives, we are suppose to place it in God's hands.
What are you going to tell God if you happen to kill the attacker? Tell God that you had no other choice, that your life and your family's was in danger. And God might say, "Was not I right there?"

Good words
Sadly there are those who haven't seen that many miracles.
Also some people go to churches which no longer believe in the Spirit with signs and wonders following.

That is your choice.
I have brethren in CLC(Stockton) that have been assaulted, shot at, car jacked, raped, murdered, etc.
We are living in perilous times, so if you choose to disarm, then so be it.

Sean so prayer won't work without a 10 gauge?

Oh you, I would have no doubt.
Why not mount a GE minigun on the end of your bed?
You ever used a 12 gauge in a bedroom?
Killing people at close range isn't shooting skeet.
