Re: Does God have a father?
In all questions pertaining to whether Jesus is man or God the correct answer is always both Yes and No. If only one answer is given then part of the truth of Christ's incarnation is denied.
Make no mistake, asking if God has a Father is a question about Jesus' divinity. And most here are too blind to realize that by claiming that God has no Father that they have just denied Jesus' divinity. To say that God can have no Father in any way is to say that Jesus is not God.

Jfrog, you misjudged me. I would never say that because I believe that Jesus Christ is God made flesh. I have no problem saying that God died or that God was born, yet I would qualify those statements in that they pertain to the man, Jesus Christ.
But Timmy didn't use any qualifiers to indicate that he was speaking of the Son of God. He simply asked if 'God' had a father. God from the beginning and even before the beginning of the world did not have a Father. So there was a time (before the incarnation) when God was neither Father nor Son. I understood Timmy to be speaking of God or if you want to say after the incarnation, God the Father, but not speaking of the Son of God, Jesus the Messiah.

Timmy did not use qualifiers. I understood his question to be asking about God himself from before creation, from before the incarnation...did God have a Father or another way to ask it would be "where did God come from"?
As for your statement "To say that God can have no Father in any way is to say that Jesus is not God", but wouldn't that also mean that God the Father has a Father? Why or why not?
