My parents used to talk of a lady evangelist from West Virginia my grandpa used to have come and preach revivals in Ohio. She was African American. I cannot remember her name. I'll have to call them and ask them.

You are just discovering this about the UPC? Since their inception they licensed women and not only have some been pastors, but they have also founded churches which are still in the UPC this day.
