Sean doesn't believe that Jesus was speaking to His first century audience? Jesus was speaking over their heads for an audience living 2,000 years later?

Bummer, I thought it was written to me and that "ye" was addressing ME.
Now he tells me "ye" is not a 2nd through 21st century reader.
Problem is, he cannot prove that "ye" is only the 1st century believer as the target audience.

I have a personal gospel written to me.....

Preterists have a documentary of someone else's gospel of 2000 years ago.
They think it means this....
31 But these are written to them, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing in what I wrote to them, ye might have life through his name.
