It seems to be debatable whether you can specifically apply the verse to women wearing pants.

On the other hand, Sister Alvear has shown that you can teach against wearing pants from the New Testament without using Deut 22:5. From the standpoint of modesty, propriety, and decency.




And it also seems to be true that for thousands of years women in western civilization did not wear pants it is has been considered to be indecent.

After posting this list, EB brought up that not every "abomination" listed on that list is an "abomination" to the LORD, but rather some were listed as an abomination to the people. So, clearly a theological distinction had to be made to more clearly define terms. We're only discussing that which is an abomination to God.

Ever heard the saying "toss a rock into a pack of dogs and the one who yelps is likely the one who got hit"? It's another way of saying those who complain most about a message are usually those who's umbrage shows they "art the man".

In other words, he was likely asking "Does the shoe fit, or not? If not, don't sweat it."

Or, he could have just been asking about your pic. I see someone in the pic (a shoulder?) holding a puppy?

BTW, cute puppy. Maybe you could just ask him "Why do you ask that?" Brother Benincasa is not a monster, he doesn't hate or despise you.

Ask him, rather than assume bad things (evil surmising?) about his meaning.
