Help! Tormented dreams

1. Noticing a presence as in someone watching you.
Its usually my toddler
2. A heaviness or fearfulness in a certain room of your home.
any bathroom I just left
3. Sensing a cold spot in a room or cold feeling on part or all of your physical body.
right in front of the AC
4. Feeling someone touch you when you are all alone or no one nearby.
again....my toddler
5. A burning sensation at the upper back just below the nape of your neck, potentially accompanied by the feeling of tingling.
its called sunburn...this is the South...its a thing.
6. Sensing frightening Shadows from the corner of your eyes.
Who knows what evil lurks in the heart of men? The Shadow knows!!!
7. Behavior and personality changes.
Im married to a woman....its a thing.
8. A loss of self-esteem and/or self-confidence.
Im massively overweight...its a thing
9. Recurrent or frequent nightmares, such as unwanted sexual experiences, being raped, tormented, or tortured.
Oh Lord....I hear banjos...paddle faster
10. Major changes in clarity of thinking or analytical ability.
could be stress,fatigue,low blood sugar or illness
11. Memory lapses.
Hey.Did I ever tell yall that we make candles ?
12. A drained feeling or fatigue without cause, as in a drain of vitality or physical strength.
typically felt during a visit from my MIL
13. Hearing harassing voices inside your mind, as in negative words, demoralizing and degrading you, and suggesting you do things you do not wish to do.
those voices usually say things like,change this poopy diaper and dont whine about the smell.
14. Illnesses that come on suddenly that a doctor cannot diagnose.
my MIL is either a very bad cook,or a very good assassin.
15. Sudden illnesses that cannot be explained, as in flu-like symptoms, headache, low-vibrational trauma inside your body.
literal flu with my phone set on vibrate trapped in a fat roll.
16. Hallucinations.
Ha! Thats silly. Well Im off to pet that unicorn!
17. Inability to sleep well without having to take sleep aids.
Sleep AIDS....is that what I get when I use Charlie Sheens pillow?
18. Waking up in the middle of the night sensing someone in the room.
Like Jesus?
19. Sleep-walking, conversations, or other actions during sleep that you cannot remember upon waking.
Yeah, explained easily by science.

20. Difficulty coping with the routine of everyday life.

who tha heck has a routine life???
21. Sudden explicable inability to cope with responsibilities, such as hardship at work doing what used to be easy.
its called burnout....its a thing
22. Depression without understanding why or knowing an apparent cause, and becoming chronic.
ive been depressed from the lack of chronic but yet to have my depression to become chronic.
23. Sudden bouts of sorrow, sadness, fear, or dread without explanation.
yeah...it means your mask is slipping and all the things youve avoided dealing with in life is overwhelming your ability to hide it.
24. Feeling trapped or helpless for no apparent reason.
theres always a reason...
25. Intrusive negative thoughts that insight feelings of anger, rage, or the desire to inflict physical violence upon yourself or others.
have you never seen Teletubbies????
26. Compulsive immoral behaviors that fill you with feelings of shame, guilty, and condemnation.
I really should stop Dutch Ovening my wife...
27. Feeling isolated, and even wanting to be isolated.
yep...cause Im a introvert...I like my solitude
28. Anxiety or unexplainable disinterest relating to attending religious worship or activities.
usually kicks in when people try to turn church into a pep rally

Ah now i am confused. So deliverance ministries aren't biblical?
If not then, I am all wrong about what I felt God was/is leading me to....which means i have no idea whose voice i hear ...ahhh this is so disheartening!

Sister, God will lead you right where He wants, and gift you to do what He wants. You don't need any seminars, books, CDs, tapes, conferences, etc. You just stay prayed up and everything will turn out like its supposed to. God can use you to bring deliverance to others, you don't need anything but the Holy Ghost and the Word of God.

I'll be more clear. I was addressing the posts by Aquila. They are nonsense. Like he stated, repackaged witchcraft.

Also, like he stated, all you need is the Holy Ghost and the word of God.

Several years ago I got caught up in a situation. I'll admit, it was completely my fault. The event that took place had me fearing for my life. My mind was tormented for many years. I thought I was going to lose my mind. I thought I was hearing voices. A few times I'd lay in bed at night in fear. Planning to leave the next morning. But when I'd wake up in the morning there would be so much peace in my bedroom that you could feel it strongly. And I would stay put. Then it would repeat again.

Torment. The only thing I could do is pray and try to believe. I would catch myself repeating a word I received from a pastor, "The plans they have for you will not come to pass..."

But, it was a looong ordeal for me. So I'd remind myself of a word I received from Scott Hutchinson who used to post here, "You are in restoration," "He is molding you," and, "have renewed faith in an old dream."

Ma'am, keep seeking God. Don't believe the lies of the enemy. You have victory today. Now. Right now.

Enter into His presence where there is fullness of joy.

This is what I have seen and experienced, in a nutshell.

The church assembles, and visitors sometimes come to the meeting. The people of God pray and sing and begin to worship the Lord. The power and presence of God envelops His people. The visitor feels or experiences the presence of God, too.

In whatever way God chooses, He begins to personally deal with and minister to the visitor beyond any natural or mortal means, through His Spirit.

The person begins to cry and weep, feeling for the first time the sheer love and joy of the Heavenly Father, and they find themselves overcome with a desire to be saved.

And many do, just like that. They repent, receiving the Holy Spirit and are immersed.

But everyone once in awhile, the same thing happens, but unbeknownst to most of the members of the assembly, the visitor is in a supernaturally created impure state. An evil spirit has a hold on or over them. Sometimes the visitor doesn't even know it.

God in His mercy, leads mature, dedicated and sanctified members of the local assembly to an understanding that something is amiss with the visitor. Wise leadership will take over and call for repentance and submission to God and His Word.

If the visitor wants to be saved and set free, now is their chance to humble themselves before God and be delivered. If they reject the call to repentance and submission to God and His Word, they might walk out, or sit down, or cause a commotion or distraction to try and interfere with what God is doing.

If the person humbles themselves and begins to confess to God and repents, mature, seasoned saints will move to where the visitor is sitting, and begin to minister to him or her through the charismata of the Holy Spirit.

God in His mercy will then allow the evil spirit to show itself, or manifest, and it will become clear that it needs to be cast out. At this point, if and only if the visitor truly wants to be free and is completely willing to renounce Satan and his ways in their life, will such a person be delivered.

If the visitor isn't willing to surrender completely to God, and wants to keep some of their sin and rebellion, no amount of "In Jesus' Name!" casting out is going to change the visitor's impure state.

But when the person does desire God and is willing to give themselves over to Him all the way, it's by natural course, as a normal part of the process of coming to God, the power of Christ kicks the evil spirit to the curb. And as if often the case, as it was in the Gospels, the departing evil spirit will try to humiliate or injure the person from whom it is being cast. One last hurrah, so to speak, to mar the image of God and make the visitor feel too condemned in heart to trust in the Lord.

But, no matter. Away the foul thing goes, and God goes about filling that person with the Holy Spirit. They speak with other tongues and magnify God. The saints rejoice and shout and clap their hands to the Lord. Someone sits down with the visitor afterward, for a few moments and discusses being immersed in the name of the Lord Jesus, showing them in the Holy Scriptures the purpose and method of baptism. They agree. They get changed, are led to the water, and in they go. They are immersed in the name of Jesus, all sin is remitted, and another name gets written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

In my experience, there ought not be much more than this going on. Deliverance should simply be a normal part of the Apostolic Church experience, no different than evangelism, worship, study and devotion, or etc.

BUT! Because this type of thing seems to be more and more rare, the Church has lost track of how to be involved in how the Lord draws and saves the demoniac, so that alternative methods become attractive and interesting. Much damage is done when this happens.

So, if the Lord wants you to be involved in this aspect of church life and ministry, there isn't a whole lot you have to do or study. Just as Esaias pointed out is sufficient. Become one with the Lord through intimacy and relationship, by praying, particularly in the Spirit, by studying and TRUSTING His Word, and as needed, fasting. Otherwise, just continue to be a part of your local assembly, sing and dance and worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness, and whatever God wants to do with fall into place.
