To be honest, if I was paying an $8 million tithe I doubt I would give it all to just one church. Think of all the small struggling churches that could use their mortgage payments taken care of for a year. Or other ministries that could use some funding, like maybe starting a few clothes closets or food programs. That's where I think church money should be going anyway, instead of building gyms and bigger and bigger churches.

I thought we had decided that small churches are small because God did not love them? Oh, and because their pastors were losers and all the normal AFF junk. Why give to a small church?

A few on here don't care for small churches, but that's not the majority opinion by a long shot.

Why not give to a smaller church? Does it have to be so big to deserve getting any money?

Yes. I mean don't you measure the favor of God by how big a church is? God must not love those churches who only have a hundred or less. Why give to something that is not prosperous?
