Nobody answered because this is an old topic and the answer is rather obvious. Are cows brown? yes. What does this have to do with the topic though?

2. Are women who adhere more strictly to the "look" judged to be on a higher spiritual plane than those who conform less strictly?

Yes, but so are men. Again how is this relevant to the topic?

3. Are women who just never seem to "measure up" demeaned from the pulpit or by other women? (of course these "holier" women are simply showing concern for the spiritual well-being of those who are less "holy").
|
Again yes, but this applies to men too. So again the line of questions seem irrelevant and rehashed, so that is probably who nobody answers

4. Once a woman decides to attend another Apostolic-based church where the standard is less stringent, are they accused of going charismatic, or of having less love for Jesus Christ, or of being weak spiritually?

Often and so are men...see above for the rest of my point

This argument is as trite and intellectually dishonest as a Caucasian trying to claim reverse racism in an honest discussion about the racist legislation and policy of the last few hundred years in America ....
or men claiming reverse sexism in human history and the Church when history and common sense dictate an imbalance has been present
or a Communist touting the virtues of communism of the last 100 years ....when in fact it has failed ....and has stripped humans of their dignity and freedom

The Apostolic church, like the Catholic fundamentalist churches, are safe harbors for pedophiles, abusers of women, and predators. Because the man has all the power and the women and children do not have a voice...the abuse continues.
Have you ever really thought about the scripture where many who call on the name of Christ shall try to enter heaven and Christ says to them: "Depart from me I never knew you?" I have thought about all the sin and abuse done to women and children, the simple minded, and the widows, and the homeless, and those who love God with all their heart and follow men they trust only to drink the kool aid in the end.
I cry for myself and others like me who have bought the abuse thinking it was as God intended, but realizing the "Life more abundantly" was not for anyone but men.

Oh my gosh. It's amazing the stuff I see posted. Please please Rhoni, you don't know ALL the Apostolic church. There is no grand conspiracy from the head down to harbor pedophiles, abusers of women or predators. I happen to know a woman that was abused and her pastor sent her to her family away from the husband. They did not harbor or support it. It's sad to see such carelessness.
yes if you want to point out some churches that might have done so or some areas where it happened, fine, but don't draw such sweeping generalizations to include the whole "Apostolic church", when there is no evidence of such a grand sweeping conspiracy.
BTW if women have no power or voice at all in the entire Apostolic church I wonder how in the world doctrines like RRs magic hair doctrine became so widespread.

An exageration for sure. But nevertheless you bring up an interesting point. Who controls who gets behind a pulpit?

On a brighter note..I truly believe it is as crazyhomie has stated: Christ came and died that we can be free from the curse. Sometimes we have to fight for and defend that liberty. Thank God for Paul as he wrote to the church in Galacia !

Absolutely, Jesus didn't die to liberate the macho elite. He died for everybody, whosoever will let him drink of the water of life freely...Jesus is free He doesn't cost anything. What we do for Him is our devotion to Him and our love for Him.

Just getting ready to go out ........ standing in front of the mirror fixing my hair and your thoughts here mirror mine as I was thinking on this.
True liberation is found in Christ Jesus. I'm thankful for the liberation I found in Him.
I pray you all find it too.
