Re: Ministerial Ethics, Dropping Out and TV: Did Y

Personally people will be what they are and Live what they want to live....changing groups does not usually change people...many times far deeper motives are involved...

Since we are all humans...there will always be new groups forming...people coming and going...that is just a part of life...

Can we really say certain groups are more spiritual than others when only God knows the heart? We might can say certain people or groups have more laws to live by but how do you judge long dresses and white shirts if the heart is evil? I am NOT in any way saying anyone´s heart is evil but it stands to reason NOT everyone is sincere just because they cry standards...

What about men who do not even know the voice of God? What about so called leaders that support men that do wrong and world never be humble enough to say I am sorry? Dear ones GOD sees a lot deeper than we do...be careful....
I kind of think most of the time it is not always what you believe it is who you are friends with…
(MY opinion is ONLY my opinion)

Let me add I have here some say that I take up for the liberals because of certain statements but that too is not true. I try to express my personal feelings and sometimes people read into what I say things that I am not saying...

I don´t like tags...I like the word CHRISTIAN...

Having been conservative for 16 years in the UPC, we felt the best thing to do was resign and move on when our convictions changed. However, I do believe there is a right time for people to revisit manuals written by men and assess whether they should be changed.

I think each individual has to decide that for themselves.

Yes, it is! especially if there are many ministers of the word who are having difficulty finding certain teachings within the word. There should be open and honest discussion with a view toward finding the truth of the word of God as opposed to upholding the traditions of men.

Not to mention affirming every two years a belief system they don't follow or teach?

Opps did I say that out loud?

Paul the great teacher taught us a lot about differences...maybe we should all go study more of his writings...

Organized religion - gag - wonder if Paul were still writing what he would say to the church about that
