Three days to go and I need only buy one more present for 1 person---My Wife!

One question, will she like the Black & Decker Skill Saw, or a Years Subscription to Popular Mechanics???

Dude, here is advice you and, in my opinion, ALL men here should do. GO to Home Depot or Lowes and buy her the tiny (Skill or Bosch, Bosch being the better one because it has a Li-ion battery) 7.2-9.2 cordless screwdriver. Leave the black and decker junk, alone.

This will do several things. It will empower her to do little jobs, it will communicate that you trust her to do little jobs, she will like having the power in her hand....and last but not least, you will have a cool little toy if she simply doesn't use it.

Trust me, this is the best advice you will receive regarding gifts.

Empowering a woman to do what are otherwise men's jobs (work with me here

That is the beauty of it Jeannie, of course, you have to include the slippers, comfy socks, perfume, but the little cute cordless screwdriver is a HIT.

No, no, no. Black and Decker. Thats the way to go. Skill? Bosch? Pagan. Pure Pagan. Over priced...over hyped. Black and Decker. Cheap...dependable. A word of advice: Just because they carry the name CARPENTER doesn't mean they is one.

Watch out for the bolded stuff there, too. She just might "upsurp your authority".

Friend thems fighting words you want to talk woodworking pal, I will take you to the mat and they will have to carry you out feet first.

Black and Decker is junk, you will have to throw it away after 6 months because the batteries don't charge or the tool will be broken.

Funny you say B&D is the state of the art, then you challenge my name and that I don't know what I am talking about?

Carp that will ONLY work if you have included the other girly stuff too!

My son had used all my tools and my little "tool box" was hit and miss to say the least, so last year for Christmas he bought me a new tool set to "replace" all those that he had lost of mine.

I know it was thoughtful, but I lost it - - - I was having a rough Christmas already and all that did was make me cry. I needed some girly stuff - not tools.

It didn't help either that before I opened it he said, "I hope this doesn't make you mad" - - lol!
