I was going to carry chocolate, but believe it or not - it's hard to sell.

Well I don't know how chocolate would give an aromna, how about chocolate chip cookie? If you could creat the smell of coffee ice cream (which I love) lol, I would buy it. I do want to find out about the french cafe. We have a lot of candles sold here in town at all the antique shops. Am going to look around.

I did a chocolate mint that I liked, but had to clearance it out. Chocolate Covered Strawberries seems like it would be good. On advice I understand not to carry it as a regular scent.

i believe it! as much as I love the aroma coffee and chocolate, those are my two least favorite scents in candles.....
I am for the apple cinnamon.... or something like ...ocean breeze.....
I like just enough fragrance to where you know it's there, but nothing that is overwhelming.......

Thanks for this, LadyChocolate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the type of candle that I like!!! I don't know why people want their candles to "blow them out of the house".
I have a Gardenia that is so strong I have to blow it out!
When customers open the lid they want it to blow them away! That is not the type of candle that I look for.
One that I have is called Cashmere and Silk - soft, light, clean, beautiful.
I wish all of my customers were like you!!!!

Re: Candle Scents - Your favorites?
Well I guess the thing about it is, smells different than it tastes. That is what I meant about chocolate and coffee ice cream. Love the taste but to me neither have an aroma I guess until it is cooked or whatever the process is for getting the smells. And I love the smell of popcorn but don't like to eat it often...........lol So some things to me smell better than they taste too.

I understand what you are saying. I've tried a lot of fragrances that sounded good, smelled bad until you put it in wax and some that smelled good until you put it in wax. lol
