It wouldn't do any good. You'd probably eat that too.

Lol!

Well, I have got to get the concept of stockpiling down. Just because I have it on the shelf doesn't mean I don't have to buy groceries for a month. I need to keep buying groceries and leave the stockpile alone. Why didn't someone explain that to me?

It's a new concept.

Buy it, put it up in storage, forget it, discover it years later, throw it all away...too badly spoiled.

Just in case.
It's funny to me how much stock Christians put in the professionals whether they be economists, doctors, or lawyers and how little trust we put in what God said.

Ps 34:10
10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.
(KJV)

Prov 28:27
27 He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.
(KJV)

1Thes 4:12
12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
(KJV)

As for me and my house we are not stockpiling we are giving and lack nothing.

Re: Are You Eliminating Debt/Backstocking Food?

I am not stockpiling food- but we are preparing for a tight year. We have paid our debt off with the exception of our house. We do not plan to make any major purchases this year- and we are paring down our expenditures as much as possible. I am trusting in the scripture "I have never seen the righteous forsaken or His seed begging for bread..."

Sounds wise and prudent.
