[quote=Praxeas;42248]Im more afraid Christians are having a "let's circle the wagons and wait for them to come slaughter us" mentality. [quote]I prefer the notion of stop trying to act as if this wicked world is our home and start acting as if we really believed what Jesus said when He said we are not of this world.

In a recent case a judge ruled against a Christian family and said if they wanted it differently they needed to elect a majority that were like them to the school board, or go to a private school....

The judge was partly right and Christians need to take their kids out of these government indoctrination centers.

But this is just not about how it is effecting us. This is Satans attempt to not only wipe out the Church by brainwashing the next generation it's about brainwashing those that aren't in the church to make it harder to reach them.

But if we took our kids out of these government indoctrination centers, Satan wouldn't be able to use the government to brainwash them. I don't agree that it would be harder to reach the other kids, I think that the greater contrast there is between the Church (the light) and the world (the darkness), the easier it will be to show the world its lost state. Besides, whether anyone actually responds to the gospel is not the responsibility of the Church but, instead, is the responsibility of God. Paul said that he planted and Apollos watered but it was God who gave the increase. Also, Jesus said that all those whom the Father has given to Him WILL come to Him. Our job is to go into all the world with the gospel. Whether or not people respond to the gospel call is God's responsibility.

We don't live in Rome. This is still a democracy and we can still do more than wait to be tossed to the lions

Well, no, it's not a democracy, it's a republic - just like Rome had been before the Caesars became powerful. But, yes, we can do more - just as the first century Church did more than just wait to be tossed to the lions - we can be the light shining in the darkness.
