It seems as though the fix is in. I know its not, but I've received some pm's from folks wondering why we can't defend ourselves here.
FYI, I like it here, and I appreciate everything that is being done to give us a place to post. I just think the negative comments about our FMD and rrford are out of line.

From my perspective this is how it goes.
It was a bad topic. It was a bad topic because we don't all know all the facts. Different parties are said to be intimate to the issue and yet disagree on the facts. It became close to slanderous by raising the credibility of certain named and un-named members of that group
Censorship is bad and as Admins we find it is very difficult to have topical discussion and keep them going while also trying to keep them from going overboard. How this is handled on some boards? Stifle it all. On others? Allow it all. This is why this board is a great board because we have such diversity enough. But it really is impossible to please everyone...it is IMPOSSIBLE to please everyone.
Discussion is good. Im glad we can discuss various things because quite frankly it's bad to just bury your head in the sand and pretend everything is just fine while all around you the ship is sinking (NOT an analogy of anything in this case)....while others are afraid to discuss things objectively,
The sad part is it seems we have two extremes...those that want to discuss it for the sake of entertainment OR because they really do have a beef with some group and the other extreme of those that have the circle the wagon mentality were they are surrounded by the enemy and can't, by nature, take a good objective look at themselves.
And I think the "indians" on the outside (forgive me for the analogy) are partly to blame for the circle the wagons mentality...because they come bearing arrows, not gifts and for those outside the wagon circle they see this in reverse "why are they aiming their weapons at us?" and this cycle just gets perpetuated over and over and over.
I think that is why I miss Bro Yohe...He was UPC and was constructively introspective of the UPC and we NEED that. The first church had to tackle internal issues...they knew they had some rough edges to work out.
