Re: Dottie Rambo's Funeral

In answer to the questions about whether Buck or Dolly Parton were there the answer is yes that Buck was there (I believe sitting in the family section behind Reba and her family).

I did not see Dolly and for a couple of reasons I think I probably would have seen her had she been there!

However I am not a very observant person as witnessed by someone who commented after the service on the Elvis impersonator who wandered down the aisle up front while Carlton Pearson was reading messages from the President, etc. I was so focused on the platform and what was going on there I didn't even see this. I think a couple of ushers escorted Elvis somewhere to sit down. Perhaps a relative of 1Corinth2V4?

Re: Dottie Rambo's Funeral

A few years ago the UPCI General Conference was in Nashville and Dottie came and sat with Jean Urshan in one of the services. During that service Nathaniel Urshan acknowledged Dottie by name and said that he was glad that she was "back home" with everyone. Now, I know that wasn't God speaking, [well at least for most ] but it did show Dotty's connection with the UPCI in her history.

Re: Dottie Rambo's Funeral

I listened to some of Dottie's songs last night...I wept thinking how her voice will be missed...
I think it is a lack of ethics to discuss her eternal destiny...UNLESS some of us think we are God...if not ..then refrain from judging...
I would not want to have the responsibility of judging anyone...especially with all my faults and failures...

I think it's a disgrace that admin has allowed all these negative comments to continue unchecked. Typically, when admin admonishes someone, the rest of the board leaves the issue alone or takes it to PM. Not so on this thread, and it isn't right. Not one single comment against anyone for slamming 1Cor. So much for impartiality.

A friendly reminder!

We are not omnipresent! We do not read every thread and every post.

I do not see one reported post EXCEPT one of ICorth's. It has been handled.

Before you speak against Admin, maybe you could do your part of the self-moderating board and report the troublesome posts.

From this point on PLEASE NO MORE DISCUSSION about the eternal resting place of Dottie in these threads.

Just lucky.

Reporting it would have worked quicker.
