By your mention, it literally reads Jesus saves those who are in that current condition, and remain there.

. . . About the last one (OP's): my bad. Though, rather than saying "former," another adjustment could be mentioned to bring about the same point as above. Seeing those in the book of Acts were added after they were repented, baptized in Jesus' name, and received the Holy Ghost ( Acts 2:38-41).

What are they being saved FROM is they aren't being saved from their sin... from their harlotry...etc
What would you tell someone who wanted to be saved but told you they weren't going to come to church until they were able to stop sinning?
God doesn't save FORMER sinners
God saves sinners.
And makes former sinners out of them.
If they could become FORMER sinners without Him then why did He die on the cross?
