That is funny because John said he saw Jesus ON THE THRONE in Rev 1. So Jesus is by the throne in Acts 8 but on the throne in Rev 1. How could that be?

Jesus was given the throne of David. It doesn't man Jesus sits on the Father's throne.

Deacon, I'm excited. It's a bitter-sweet pill. The early church viewed his coming as a hope and escape from their persecution. Today, I long to see Jesus but also think of the task that is undone and knowing I have to answer to the Boss about that. It's sobering.

Absolutely!

I believe we will all be very humbled at His appearing b/c we will all regret all of the wasted time and missed opportunities to obey God's command to tell the world about Jesus. However, he will wipe the tears from our eyes and speak peace into our ears and He will let us know that we have been covered by His precious blood and that we will be judged based on His imputed righteousness. Then the rejoicing will begin!

I personally am a post-tribber. I believe the best days of the church lie ahead of us in spite of any persecution headed our way. The wrath of satan (the tribulation) will last for only a short time and then the day of the Lord (the wrath of God) will come and He will bind satan for 1,000 years to deceive the nations no more.

It will be a glorious day!

It is kind of funny I was listening to Billy Graham the other day it was an episode from the 70's and he was talking about the rapture saying it will be anyday now and that was 30 years ago LOL...... I am 32 and I do not think the rapture will happen in my lifetime.... We had the same things going on in the 70's that are going on now....
