The problem lies with the issue that if a lady in the upc wears skirts and then comes to the church in pants she is automaticlly made a sinner by the church...

And the souls we are killing, trying to conform them to OUR ideals. My way is better than their way. And let's make sure we tell everyone how wrong they are and how right I am.
It's probably easier to win souls with gimmicks that way they don't notice the doctrines are false.

Does she feel like a sinner for coming to church in pants?
Does she feel her own condemnation than that of the church?
I really like the wording "automatically"...
Countless of the souls we have lost will be balanced by who we have won...
given that all churches are different, different personalities and mentalities of Leadership will all have an affect on the church...in any denomination...
regardless of belief you can't judge everybody by the few...

No the problem lies with an individual who cant figure out that if you don't like the upci, then go find something you do like..... or conversely decide that there is value here and plug in and become a part of something that has proven to be a wonderfully spiritually uplifting organization to many others.
Its your choice. Nobody is twisting your arm against your will.

Nada.
I think we really need to be careful with this kind of stuff.
It's just so easy for folks to get caught up in religious politics and other trivial stuff, rather than focusing on the things the Lord really wants from us... like soul winning.

It would be interesting to see the fallout that would occur if the UPCI decided to go one step further and command the men to dress in robes as to be more like Jesus...
It would also be interesting to see how many threads would be on this forum if they made such dress issues to be a heaven or hell issue.
I got scriptures that would support such a notion, and I'm not even licensed. LOL!
