Accepting everyone no matter what they look like if a lady has cancer going through chemo and has no or little hair but wants to play on the platform and has a music talent then let her. According to these platform standards she could not unless she had a wig on and she might not be able to afford a wig

Actually, this rule brings back some memories that I'd rather forget.

As a new convert with short hair, I put up with alot of junk for quite some time while waiting for it to grow out.

Speak for yourself. Platform standards do affect a lot of us. Even though these are General Conference specific, they're still worthy of discussion.

I don't particularly mind rules, although some of the motivation behind platform standards is bothersome.

Rule #7 on the provided list illustrates one of those bothersome points.
