I am convinced now that some factions of our government are capable of anything, especially years ago when accountability and secrecy were a bit different.
I have seen very compelling information on the JFK assasination that seems to almost beyond a doubt point to a larger conspiracy.
Some of the criticisms of the moon landing are indeed interesting.
I used to dismiss it all as a bunch of kooks and operated under the impression that no factions of our noble government would do those sorts of things.

The moon landings happened. You can see the sites and even some of the trails of footprints
with a telescope. There's more at
Moon Base Clavius and
Wikipedia. Do you really think the Soviets would have let us get a way with such a stunt as hoaxing a moon landing?
"Factions" of our government are capable of doing whatever a human being is capable of doing - and that's pretty nasty stuff - or fairly noble stuff, depending upon the human beings involved.
There have been "conspiracies" that have done terrible things. The Tuskegee Syphilis Study comes to mind.
Watergate, and the motivator behind Watergate - Richard Daley's election fraud in 1960 that deprived Vice President Nixon of the election are also real conspiracies.
The danger is that when we trumpet every or even most "conspiracies" we create a climate where the real stuff ends up being ignored.
Did you know that the electoral votes of Washington state and Wisconsin were fraudulently given over to John Kerry in 2004? No? Was it because of the false accusations of voter fraud and conspiracy in Ohio that diverted our attention?
I use Heinlein's Law for Conspiracies when trying to sort through all of the intrigue. It's a corollary from one of Napoleon's political maxims -
"Never attribute to conspiracy that which is sufficiently explained by sheer incompetence."
The claims that "9/11 Was an Inside Job" come to mind here...
