Felicity & Hubby Update

Do any of you good Canadian folks know the status of Felicity and Hubby? The last I recall they had just made a u turn from having "gone charismatic" and were rapidly heading back to the UPC.

I enjoyed listening to his sermons when he pastored in Surrey and was wondering if he is pastoring again somewhere and if so where and does the church have a website?

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I believe they are back in New Brunswick, though I don't know what city, and are continuing with their China ministry.

Re: Felicity & Hubby Update

The last that I heard they were safe in the bosom of the mother church (UPCI), pastoring a congregation in NB, and dreaming of the conquest of China for Christ.

Wherever they are, I pray that they are blessed, and I'm sure that they're a blessing.

Amen! I hope they are doing great. Seemed to be such nice people.

They are indeed some of the nicest people that you could hope to meet.

The UPCI is fortunate to have people of their calibre, ability, and dedication rejoin them.

(Not to mention people who got their theology from the Bible and not from a WAP quarterly. )

I figured by now they had paid penance enough to have rejoined the mothership but when I went to the UPCI website and plugged in his name it did not come up.

If you know the name, you can check the district web site.

Re: Felicity & Hubby Update

Hey I want to know. If they are missionaries again to China then I would love to support them. My husband was a missionary for three years in China.I love Felicity and have read her posts for a few years now. I do miss her posting but who has a lot of time any more?

Re: Felicity & Hubby Update

They always seemed so nice to me. Sister Felicity and I have written to each over by e mails in times past. She never said one negative thing about the UPC to me. I wish I could visit with her sometime but Canada is a long way from Brazil...
