I was hoping Danny would win, but he blew it trying to change up his stage presence and do that weird stuff on that one song. Man, did he blow it. I enjoyed hearing him sing a lot more than Kris.

Google is generally good at digging up info, as is another search engine I use, but wasn't able to find anything you posted.

I found one that I hadn't seen before and it's from a former church member. I'll send it to you by PM. I'm not gonna post it. If you wanna find more, you can dig yourself. It's been all over the internet. In retrospect, I wish I hadn't said anything. I was attempting to make a point that Adam wasn't the only one with rumored moral issues and in the process, I mentioned Danny's rumors. I regret that.

1) It's from an annonymous source who left the church and obviously has an axe to grind. I don't place much trust in one annonymous source who's a bitter, angry ex-member of that church. Sorry.

2) In searching Google I found one link to the letter. You sent me a link to another site with the same letter, word for word. Other than that I'm not able to find anything else about it.

3) With both your link and mine, I only saw one sentence that referenced DG's conduct with other girls ... it stated "Gokey was very flirtatuous with all the female singers." Yet you posted:

Could you provide the source that reference his behavior with girls on TBN and AI, since I've yet to find it?

Perhaps you're right about not bringing it up. Unfortunately there's really nothing to back up the statements or verify the word of this bitter, annonymous poster who was a former member of the church.

This is exactly how I feel, I have never understood why Christian people get so repulsed by homosexuals, yet they do not react the same way to a heterosexual living an immoral and perverse lifestyle.

Oh, they will be concerned for them and decry their lifestyle but the repulsion and almost hatred? I just don't see it, and I don't understand.

The way I read the Bible, sin is sin. And lying, cheating, stealing, promiscuity, hatred, bitterness, etc., all of these things are called sin, and they are all outside of the law of God. But we are called to love the sinner.

I am not saying we need to hang out with them all the time, or even let them influence us in any way. I DO think we are supposed to love them, care for them, minister to them and try to be light to them.

I have all kinds of friends, from all kinds of backgrounds, and a lot of them commit any variety of sin on a daily basis. And they all know that I am Christian, and that I live a committed life before God. But I would guarantee you, that all of them, homosexuals included, would tell you without a doubt, that they know that I care for them, and that I do not judge them. That is not my job.

My daughter has numerous homosexual co-workers, and she has honest discussions with them on what she believes the Bible teaches. But she always makes sure that they know that she loves them, and that she does not judge them, how they live is between them and God.

Because ultimately, isn't that how the Bible teaches that men will know that we are His? By our love for our fellow man?

I did some more looking even though I said I wouldn't and found more stuff, but I'm gonna just back out at this point. I'll retract.

In the attempt to make a point in Adam's defense, I referenced rumors about Danny. "Never tear someone else down to build someone up." I broke that principle. And the truth is, I really don't care if the stuff about Danny is true and the same is true with Adam.

I'm just tired of Adam's name being drug through the mud. The truth is, we really don't know any of these people. Serial killers have been on church boards, so what do we really know about anyone. So I just like to listen to them and enjoy them.

Adam can be anything he wants to be as well as Danny. There was even dirt on Kris cooperating with the show to suppress TV time for his wife in order to get the teeny-girl vote. It all gets ridiculous.

So if you're not satisfied with what you see on the internet, that's fine. I'm wrong. I retract.

If, by being drug through the mud, you mean people commenting on Adam's sinful lifestyle ... he's very blatant and open about it. It's not some rumor posted annonymously on a message board or blog, it's something he himself is blatant about.

We can leave it alone though.

Come on. If you don't like Adam, just say you don't like Adam. To assume that he was the ONLY one of those people with a sinful lifestyle would be ill-advised. It's very possible that one or more of the others had moral issues with someone of the opposite sex. That is NO DIFFERENT than someone having a moral issue with someone of the same sex.

At the time Adam's name was being "drug through the mud", he hadn't admitted his sexual orientation. Eventually, he did (although he's been seen, even filmed, on several dates with girls). But I DON'T expect any on the show to willfully admit moral problems with the same sex. That's a "closet" no one EVER emerges from...not willingly, anyway.

Why don't you just leave Adam alone? You don't like him. You don't like his singing and you don't like his lifestyle. You really don't know the "lifestyles" of the others but you're focusing on Adam because he's more feminine than you'd like.

I'm sure you're gonna fire back, but I remain disappointed that SO many people have focused animosity on Adam based solely on his sexual orientation.

I was going to bump this thread and ask if anyone heard/saw him on the American Music Awards last night.

IT was awful. It was vulgar, but even past that where did his talent go? He sang terrible - - sounded extremely amateur. He was much better on AI.
