I'm glad we can obey Acts.10:43 and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin.

The Bible says clearly that baptism in Jesus name is clearly "for" the remission of sins. It also says "how can sins be remitted except by the shedding of blood".

The blood is applied at repentance, baptism(when done in Jesus name), and in the receiving of the Holy Ghost.

That is why the Acts 2:38 IS the instruction as to how to be born again.

Baptism in Jesus name is "FOR" the remission of sins.

Accually, GB, the Bible says REPENT and be baptized. Repentance and baptism. They go hand and hand.

True baptism will only remit the sins of the repented. Finally we agree on something.

Baptism by itself can not remit. What if someone repents and receives the HG before baptism does that mean that they are still sinners until the baptism happens? You are saying the sins are not remitted until baptism period? If so that means God gives the HG to sinners all the time and it does not change them. I know people that have received the HG and notbeen baptized in Jesus name because they do not think they have to. God does not take back the HG does he? The HG shows the salvation process is completed.

Remitted means forgiveness .... NT uses the word aphesis for both ...
  • If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
