UPC in Haiti
I might have missed it somewhere, but where is the thread about the UPC Missionary and all the UPC Churches in Haiti? I have read of Church of God, Church of God of Prophecy, A/G, IPHC, 4square, and many other Pentecostal orgs there but cannot find a thing about any UPC or "Apostolic" Churches or HQ in Haiti.
Can someone post something about who the missionary's are and what is going on in the churches there? Thanks

Re: UPC in Haiti
We (Church Alive International) are giving Food, Medicine and finances through a local Haitian Church who lost many family members in Haiti.

Re: UPC in Haiti
I think there's only one UPC family in Haiti as missionaries, but I could be wrong.

Re: UPC in Haiti
Yes, I have been wondering how many oneness missionariesare there...no matter whatpeeople may be however we need to pray and remember tem all in our prayers and givings. Once we get to the states we plan to send an offering to help some over there. "By this shall all men know ye are my disciples.." (Jesus)

Re: UPC in Haiti
What other oneness groups are there? The UPC is pretty large and probably can
give a lot more than those who are independent will ever receive.
If anyone knows please list them.

I know that the Vannoys were once the UPCI missionary to my mother's native island of Hispaniola ... Dominican Republic and Haiti.
If memory serves this was Daniel ... who once pastored the 92cd street church in NYC ... Or perhaps his brother?
I also recall that as a young teen on vacation in DR we bumped into his wife in a market in Santo Domingo.
I don't know who it is now ....
I know the James Burton (recently deceased) for many years was the missionary to DR ... and have no doubt he visited the French-speaking side of the island.

If you are referencing the James Burton from Cincinnati, OH, his appointment was to Venezuela. He and his grown children were missionaries for several years. I don't know if any are still missionaries in that country or not. James Burton died about a year ago. Some of his family have been active in Hispanic ministry in this area in conjunction with Calvary Church which is a couple of miles from me. Also one of his sons is listed as pastor of Taburnaculo de Adoracion Jesucristo in Hamilton, OH which is in this area.
