We abhor shacking up, but can't wait to watch the soaps.

Funny that the things we condemn as sin are allowed to be watched as entertainment. Doesn't the Bible condemn taking pleasure in sin? If it is sin to do the things that are viewable on tv, then it is also sin to watch them for our viewing pleasure. Doesn't it also say that I will put no wicked thing before my eyes?

And for some... we don't condone TV but take pleasure in Louis La'mour...

Actually, no I don't.
I do read considerably, typically several books per week, including my Bible reading.
I don't have a problem with people reading, though I do feel that we should be careful as to what we read since brain pollution is still brain pollution, regardless of the source.
Your response was good because it helped to elucidate this point.

I do not hate preachers...I hate the judgmental spirit that some have. I know you feel the same way. I am preacher myself, but I am far from judgmental.

If you didn't hate them you wouldn't criticize them.

Abandoning all standards is not a problem????

Lying on the AS is not a problem??????????

The ONLY thing I know that some feel that would cause an Apostolic to be lost is to keep outward standards???????????

Ooh! Ooh! I can answer this one.

1. Believe that they can earn their salvation through works.

2. Scatter the flock instead of gather it.

3. Consistently foment a culture of fear in the church.

4. Replace the leading of the Holy Ghost with a long list of rules that supposedly have saving power.

5. Live with a sense of pride in your own professed and supposed "goodness".

Now that is a substantive opposing view. Isn't is interesting how we all process information differently. Good response.
