I broke my neck in a car accident 15 years ago and it wasn't "discovered" due to all my other injuries until 3 days later when I was taken off life support and could tell someone it was hurting. I had the same neck injury as Christopher Reeves (Superman) but I am not paralized and I can breathe on my own (it was a high break...3rd vertabrae?? Cant remember...I just remember when he broke his that summer my physical therapist telling me it was the same). If the break had "moved", I would be dead. And even though I was moved many times in that 3 days without a neck brace (in and out of surgery), God allowed the break not to be further damaged, and I lived to full recover.
