Immigration; Are we making a difference?

That sounds harsh but that is the attitude portrayed by you.
Your ancestors were able to come over and get a better life in America, why can't someone else do the same?

I will tell you this, IF Congress makes the immigration reform it is talking about, you will see MILLIONS of Latinos fix their papers and become legal.
They don't want to be here illegaly, in fact their life as an illegal is a lot harder than you know it.
They didn't want to cross the border illegaly but it was the only way for the them to come to this country

And if we will be honest with ourselves....the white people anyway.....we did this same thing when we came over in the 1500's and 1600's. We took over this country and made it our own. There was no better life here when our ancestors came over. This was 'the new world' and a place to explore, but we turned it into our own country and left the indians with nothing but casinos and reservations.

I don't live in Texas or anywhere in the southwest where I know there are problems that the rest of the world doesn't see, but I don't see it as any different than what we did 500 years ago to the natives who lived here when we took over.
