Re: UPC Pastor Convicted of Slander in Pulpit!
I get PO's stand. If an Apostolic married woman's heart is right, she will not be walking around in front of men other than her husband, wearing a bikini. Is that the gist PO?

Yes!!! I never said the pastor was right. I'm was just tired of the focus being, solely, on him. She wasn't right either! Fair is fair!!!
Thanks, Cindy!!!!

Well from reading 16 pages (or 32 if you have the site set differently), I think nearly ALL the discussion has been on the stupid bikini of which we know almost NO context. While we DO know most of the context for the words the pastor said. So I think much MORE should have been said about him.

Yeah, if you know you are being recorded. Don't say anything you don't want the world to hear.

I think much more should have been said about all of them. Everything we have ALL posted is simply speculation and our own opinion.
All we know is that we have two people who could not support their vows of marriage. We have no idea what was involved in that mess.

Motive, whatever could make a Pentecostal or even a former Pentecostal wear a bikni? As I said once before, it could be something as simple as a way for her to give that church a big middle finger. (MissB paraphrased that for me a whole lot nicer but I can't think of how she put it).
There are many other motives for a Pentecostal/former Pentecostal to wear a bikini other than to reveal themselves to a guy.

You'll have to prove that he was lying. I'm not slandering the woman. Her husband is the one that said it!
|
Not many have doubted that she wore a bikni. I believe she was. What many are doubting is that her husband found her alone with the other guy. The article never says that he claimed to have found them alone or without the other guys wife present.

That was my impression. Especially when I read this quote from the article. Sounded like she was really angry about other things, but then, I'm just speculating. LOL!

“The statements were made and calculated to harm the plaintiff and to justify defendant’s daughter’s relationship with James Driver, who was previously divorced from plaintiff, and to obtain the church congregation’s approval of the relationship between James Driver and Reverend Fogarty’s daughter,” the lawsuit stated.

Please don't elaborate on this one. LOL!

Well, it certainly did imply it, IMO.
