If they come to Atlanta - I will go hear them. If they call and ask to come to my church to do a concert - I would tell them YES - if they would come on a love offering basis. If they demanded a certain amount that I felt was unreasonable - I would say no.
I do believe that God forgives anybody for anything they have done in the past. I am not the judge of any of them.
It is sad to me that someone can struggle for many years with issues and cannot find one ounce of help in the very church they are ministering in.
God bless them and I wish them well - they sure need someone to bless them - they have enough people cursing them - mostly people that never - ever met them!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU would have them at your church to sing and give them a "LOVE" offering ????? I think what some folks find hard to adjust to even some Xers is that there are those who feel okay about it all - follow me?

Where does it say the "original" LWT is singing? Are we even sure it's the "original" and not just a different LWT?
Also, it's not a tour . . . as has been pointed out, they're just adding music to a message entitled "What's Love Got To Do With It." I can't find anything except old news for LWT, no websites, no tour information.

All I can do is repeat my dear ole' dad's saying as he shook his head, "Sodom and Gomorrah".
Some folks will accept anything as ok anymore.

I will certainly say - I do not feel OK or agree with what happened in his past - and have heard the "Mall" stories more times than I care too!
No - I do NOT agree with homosexuality, fornication, adultery, divorce, lying, stealing or any other sin, but I do agree with Forgiveness.
God forgives every sin and washes us clean from all unrighteousness.
My music was greatly influenced by Lanny Wolfe and the first time I ever walked into a UPC church - was because it was heavily advertised - THE LANNY WOLFE TRIO would be in Concert with the JCM Choir.
I went - was blessed - but kinda shocked - it looked to me that every single guy in the choir looked exactly alike and especially the girls - the all looked exactly the same! I thought it was an incredible concert - but the look was so odd to me! LOL I was Church of God and did a lot of LW music.

thats because LW and the college required the choir to wear matching dresses and the men the wear matching suits and ties of course. not to forget that is was mandatory for the girls to wear their hair up in a bun thus the look a like

Doesn't it bother you at all that LW has never admitted any wrongdoing? He has never asked for restoration, etc.
Even Mark Hanby at least made a show of being "restored" by a Charismatic leader (who later divorced himself).
I would go see them in concert and I am nice to him in person but I would not want my church to host him.
While you are correct we cannot judge everybody we can use a reasonable amount of common sense when putting people on our platforms. We are not talkiing "standards" here. We are talking gross moral failure that has never been resolved.

I was about to ask the same question.
If he was openly living with a man would AP feel differently. If someones sin was made public then the denial or apology must also be public. Anything less is simply not adequate.

I don't know about all that, but signs of repentance should follow...
