I agree with this!!

We have a WONDERFUL COUNSELLOR available. HE is able to "counsel" in and
through a "vessel" submitted, who will allow the Wonderful Counsellor to flow
in and through their "vessel", and out to others.

Eph.3:20 "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

There needs to be agreement between the Counsellor and the one needing
deliverance. Can't expect the Counsellor to do it all. There needs to be a
strong desire to be delivered.

Can't be like the woman in a prayer meeting where people were being
prayed for for healing. She said, "don't heal me, Lord, I'll lose my dis-
ability"! Some are not sure they want to give up anything. The Wonderful
Counsellor is not going to TAKE it away by force. We must submit to HIM.
HIS WILL, HIS WAY!

There needs to be a strong desire to be delivered, the same as one who
wants to be saved.

Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

I have known people who were delivered instantaneously. I've known others who weren't, it was a process.

Yes, but we can't negate where the real power and deliverance comes from. For some it might take many years of struggle.

In your experience, of those ones you mentioned who had to go through a "process", were they all eventually delivered?

I've known some who were. Others got very discouraged with the process.

I've never understand why some people get instant deliverance and others don't. But there are a lot of things I don't understand.

Re: Pornagraphy and Disability

Just as much as it does when we need help with our attitudes, it takes more than once for most of us I think.

How could we grow in faith without temptation? For those with instant deliverance and it never crossing their mind again, Praise God. For those that struggle or struggled, still Praise God!!!!

I have a theory on why some struggle and are tempted and why some receive instant deliverance. It is base on 1 Corinthians 10:12 which says, "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." My theory is that God filters our temptations and does not allow any that we could not overcome. He knows who could not withstand the temptation of alcohol (or whatever) so that person loses all desire for alcohol (or whatever). He knows who can (with His help) resist the temptation for alcohol (or whatever) so he allows those temptations to continue.

Re: Pornagraphy and Disability

Sometimes just a human voice, ear, or touch really helps some of us make it through. That in no way diminishes God's power at all.

Re: Pornagraphy and Disability

Just for the record, is the topic dead or is someone going to go back to the actual topic?
