Yup. He wasn't responsible at all.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: RNC convention
I thought Romney performed well and I intend to vote for him.
However, I am really tired of hearing that women are more important than men. He referenced that Ann's role was much more important and harder than his in the lives of his kids.
Perhaps that mentality is why there are so many absentee fathers.

I don't think that's what he was saying, I think he was saying being a stay at home mom is more important than the work that a man does outside the home. He wasn't saying men are unimportant to the raising of children.

Re: RNC convention
At this point my prediction for the election is that either Obama wins a very close vote or Romney wins by a surprisingly large margin like Reagan did in 1980.
I worked in Reagan's '80 Campaign as a volunteer at a state HQ and I remember that right up to the weekend before the election all of the polling had Reagan and Carter neck in neck.
My wife and I had rented a hotel room so we could watch the returns on tv before heading to the hotel ballroom for a victory celebration. We had stocked up with all kinds of snack foods expecting a very long night.
Then all of a sudden around 7 pm or so Jimmy Carter was giving a concession speech. We had to rush to get ready to head down to the hotel ballroom for the big celebration. LOL.

Re: RNC convention
I watched Clint Eastwood's speech and I thought he was masterfully artistic and refreshing. I don't understand the criticism Eastwood is taking for his speech.
Romney's speech was not refreshing.
Was I wrong to expect him to lay out clear ideas on how to move forward?
He's promising change, just like Obama did.
