Quite a statement. It use to be a principle thing. Now it's becoming a requirement for membership it seems.

Who wants to rob God? Sounds like forced tithing to me which = required for membership.

There needs to be organizers stepping out and starting local works.

Passing out literature etc may help.

This is a requirement to be licensed with the UPC. But they give no details as to how to fulfill that requirement. In other words, they give no requirement that you believe or teach that Malachi's curse be pronounced on non-tithe payers. There are no specifics given at all. Therefore, how can they suspend a license for "not teaching it correctly"?

Yea, I see your point. This whole tithing issue has become a devouring dinosaur. There needs to be alternatives for people to choose from. I wonder how many divorces it has caused etc.

A well known church in Indianapolis was started in a train boxcar.

The purpose of this thread is to show it can be done by freewill giving. The richest religion in the world does not force you to tithe your money.

Also there is no command to build a building to bring a tithe of money to. If a local congregation wants a building or to rent one count the cost and go for it.

Those who are called to ministry and see the tithing of money error get organized and start up local works. Let the Holy Ghost guide and display the power of God.

By the way, I believe it was a woman who ministered in the box car.
