Here's the recipe. The recipe is doubled. No sense in mixing it if you can't use the dough for several days!
Pecan Chocolate Chip
1 c. granulated sugar - only Imperial Sugar!
1 c. light brown sugar
2/3 c. butter - only butter!
2/3 c. Crisco - only Crisco!
2 eggs
1 tsp. Pure Vanilla
1/2 c. whole wheat flour
2 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour - must be unbleached!
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup or more pecan pieces
1 package (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips - no off brands
Put first 4 ingredients in a bowl until butter is softened. Mix in the rest.
Bake 350 oven for 10 minutes.
I'm eating another one and I don't care!!!!!!

Sounds delicious! My sister-in-law makes THE BEST cookies...I think it's cuz she uses shortening instead of butter. yum-yum!

No way! YOu have to use both and no white flour. It's just gummy. Unbleached makes a difference. I noticed it and then heard that guy on Good Eats say it!!!!! Very cool! I thought I was soooo smart!!!!

My sister's bday is the day after, and my gpa's bday was the day after that, and my uncle's bday the day after that. And a neighbor's was the day before.

It is - he's just not here to celebrate it.

No generic on any of the above items. Especially the pecans. They have little shells in them if you do.
Pillsbury is my choice of flour, but King Arthur is okay too. I think that's the name.
