Youth lock-in events will now feature fried rabbit and rhubarb pie and skeet shooting instead of pizza and basketball.

I need to get to one of those reunion events and reconnect with some of these folks.

Pat Buffalo actually married Brother B. A. Chandler. TT used to pastor in South Texas. He has since moved on, and I lost track of him. I don't think I've heard anything about Danny since I graduated in 1982. I have no idea where he is.
There is a TBC Alumni Day coming up in October. I won't be able to make it, though.

Sounds impressive. How much money can you raise by Thursday?

Technically, there would need to be a motion BEFORE the electoral process begins which would wave the qualifications. Sometimes it is done during the process (usually in a District where it won't be challenged), but at General Conference, where there are several VERY astute parliamentarians, one would HAVE to do so PRIOR to voting on ANY office. If done properly, then it COULD be accomplished.
Just don't try it. We're voting for Coonskinner. No one else need apply.

All kidding aside, he does, indeed, "have a chance," provided someone makes a motion to wave the qualifications AND that motion receives a second AND passes. If all those things happen, then, yes, WF DOES "have a chance." However, I think it is highly unlikely that those things will happen. It is generally done on a District or sectional level, when there is a shortage of "qualified" candidates. That would obviously NOT be the case on the General level, and I doubt seriously that it would pass. If WF will just "bide his time," I think it is highly likely that he will, one day, be GYP.

Oh, no, CS is NOT "too old." The age limit is HIGHER on the national level than on the district level. This was changed several years ago prior to the election of Rex Johnson as GYP.
Perhaps we could start pushing for NYPL for GYS next year.
