Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
About forty years ago at the world wide camp meeting in Los Angeles, a group headed by a brother by the name of Studd, along with several women, including his wife, claimed to have received a revelation that God was about to do a new thing. They had one verse of Scripture only. It is found in Isaiah 43:19. This special verse refers to Israel as clearly stated in the context. They wrested it from its context and pressed it to the point of an issue. There were hundreds of people there desirous of finding God, but the camp was spoiled and the work of God hindered by this issue. Until the present, no one has ever defined just what the "New Thing" was.

That no power on earth, but that only the intervention of the Almighty himself can bring relief to the terrible suffering that is to be wrought from the war being waged in Europe.

The Pentecostal Assemblies of Jesus Christ, which hitherto has been strictly pacifist, announced a fundamental change in this policy at the eighth annual convention at the Minnesota State fairgrounds. Members hereafter will be allowed to go into any military service which does not obligate them to kill. The Rev. S. G. Norris, pastor of the Midway Tabernacle, in explaining the change, said members could engage in any war activities which do not involve combat.

Didn't Elder S.G. Norris believe in a 14 year tribulation?

Never heard that one.
I have many friends that went to ABI when he was there and they all were taught (and preached) 7 years.

I read it from material that was "supposedly" his. Hence the reason, I always ask if anyone else heard or read the same thing.

My wife attended Apostolic Bible Institute, the college S. G. Norris founded just outside of St. Paul, MN, and was a member of the church there, too, before we were married, back in 2005 and 2006, and a fourteen-year endtime tribulation was the doctrine being taught at the school by the college president/senior pastor, who was S.G. Norris's son in law.

Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
I do not know what he taught.
In other news, I found a piece of art, a painting of a street scene in San Francisco that was made by GT Haywood in 1921.
Haywood was in Oakland overseeing the start of a new PAW church.

Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
I have a paper from ABI dated February 1973 with a timeline drawn out. It is based on the "Ecclesiastical" or Sacred Year, April 14-October 22, and the feasts. It had the millennial starting in 2000.
