it is called theft of time. Government workers justify it.

The biggest thieves of time and services are government workers when it comes to use of telephones to make personal long distance calls on the employer expense.

How many use gubment computers to watch porn? And they are stealing time and money from taxpayers.

The TSA hires temps. That means they are limited to the unemployed or near unemployed. Good workers don't leave ordinary jobs to work as a temp for 8 dollars an hour and hope to become permanent in a year.

Low end of the bell curve. $17,083

3 bucks an hour under Home Depot.
Yes, I've finished high school Coadie.

The TSA in our airport has full time and part time federal employees. Each is subject to a very thorough background check. I process these when new agents are brought aboard here locally with our internal proceedures. The hourly pay depends on the job the employee has. BDO's make more than screeners. But they also have additional training and capabilities. I think many of them would like to see a pay increase. But their benefits aren't bad.

I want to know what you know about our processes Coadie. PROVE to me that you know what you're talking about because I do it for a living.

Coadie, you're generalizing. We have a safe search program that blocks everything inappropriate and unapproved by management.

the better analogy is with Miranda.

You have certain rights extended by the constituion. However, you can choose to surrender those rights volentarily.

With flying, you surrender your right not to be searched as a term of use.

Where i have an issue is that TSA as a government agency should have stricter standards for search than a private company has....

further my issue (which of course is the one I find to be more important,) is we are talking about inneffective and ineffecient methods when there are far better options.
Shouldn't they at least be telling us why they're finding it necessary for enhanced searches?
We knew why we had to start taking off our shoes and why liquids had to be confiscated.

We're talking government here...ineffective methods are their speciality.

You are blogging from work. Then you knock the passengers as "moody minority"

The airlines really do work hard to provide a safe and comfortible trip.

Then the trashy disrespectful gubment workers mock "moody minority" passengers and hurt the trip experience.

The gubment workers are not trained in customer service.

That's a great question!

One good example is how terrorist organizations are using implants in women to get explosive material past screening. Most don't know that. So if a woman is examined more thoroughly, she feels violated, not knowing what they are looking for.

I wonder how long before this really starts hurting the airline industry?
