Re: The Effects of A Loud Shout | Raul Alvear Jr.
Some of you have accusations that imply others here are against praise and worship. I don't see anyone doing that.

Hey Prax... good to see you posting, have missed you!
Thanks for better elucidating the point that noise does not necessarily equal praise.
noise = praise is not an equation.
While a joyful noise certainly "can" be praise... to say that noise = praise is a different story altogether.

The volume of our Praise is usually dependent on emotions and personality. Some people are just not screamers but their praise matters

I am like Sis. A. I prefer the slower songs... but I do believe there is a time and a purpose for the faster ones, as well as being quiet or shouting.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: The Effects of A Loud Shout | Raul Alvear Jr.
What's the difference between the "strange fire" and the fire God commanded to be used in the offerings at the altar of incense?
Both were literal fire, with all the qualities and components that make fire, fire.
The only difference is that Nadab and Abihu brought in fire they themselves had kindled, instead of lighting a taper from the fire God kindled on the brazen altar when He consumed the consecratory sacrifice.
Humans can kindle the fires of praise in their hearts, but if it isn't Spirit led, it's strange to God, and He won't accept it, no matter how real it actually is.
Jesus said without Him, we can't do anything. We can't even praise God properly unless the Holy Spirit of Christ inspires us and gives us the ability, direction, and operation.
Sometimes, the inspiration from Him comes in the form of shouting and making a loud noise, especially with instruments of music. When it's God's fire, there's nothing more powerful, as I've experienced.
When it's kindled by men, and it's strange fire to God, it's a messy disaster that makes the whole group of people involved look sad (which reflects on the God they are claiming to be worshiping with such "fire").

First of all, please provide the Scripture that says or teaches the bolded part.
Secondly, please consider this: IF the Word of God says JESUS CHRIST IS GOD ALMIGHTY, and a person says 'Jesus is not GOD ALMIGHTY', then does it not follow (according to your judgment as quoted and bolded above) that such a person's worship of God is not acceptable to God, and is in fact merely noise that will just be added to the screams of the damned as they are cast into the lake of fire?
Just wondering.
