He has NO problem with wanting folks to think for them selves and stop being Pentecostal robots!
JUST because the "ELDERS" said it, does not mean its right!
And he has no bones about voicing that.
THAT is why he as popular as he is and THE most request camp speaker in our movement.
But the majority of his congregations never get to know him as a man, only from a distance if that.

Let me go on record as apologizing for questioning JA's view on preterism, but it was asked in good faith. Thanks to those who responded.

Can anyone answer about the microphone throwing incident?
Is it "urban legend" or actual event?

I have met him and even shared a meal with him once (woo woo), but we are not Dear Friends.

He is very personable and not much like he comes across in the pulpit, or at least that was my limited impression.

Cool! He and I are definitely on the same page there.

Wow! That makes two things we agree on! However, the Scripture and just plain good manners and common sense dictate that we show respect to them and not publicly harass and embarass them.

What is why?

That he likes to embarass preachers? Rebuke elders?

I doubt it.

He is very entertaining and draws crowds. That is possibly one reason, if he is indeed the most requested camp speaker in the UPC, however one would go about documenting that.

He also preaches some absolute masterpieces on occasion. That could be yet another reason.

Anyway, he is like all of us...feet of clay.

Certainly he is a unique man and not the cookie cutter so many are, and I appreciate that about him.

My only real beef with him is his disrespect for ministry from the pulpit, and his pitting of the pew against the pulpit. But I've already said that.

I'm hoping it is an urban legend.

Jeff Arnold is one of THE best ministers I have heard in the UPCI. He has real and genuine living revelation of the Word. Wow.

And the accolades keep adding up.......

BUT did he throw a microphone at a sound tech?

Simple question, people.

If he did, I am sure he has been forgiven, but would still like to know the truth.

I heard JA say "I am so liberal that there are people in the UPC that don't even think I have the Holy Ghost".

I believe it.

Right. I don't know him personally, although I've been in audiences where he has preached for years. I've noticed that people either like him a lot, or not at all. I like him!

JA has preached some of the most profound messages I have ever heard. Very deep in the scriptures. All that 'crudeness and rudeness' just spices it up a bit. lol

I would be very surprised to learn that he is not a complete gentleman.
