Re: What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

it seems to me that constantly having to deal with pain and sickness or any affliction on a daily basis would qualify for buffeting, dt

Are you serious, read the definition and Greek again.

Buffet requires a physical blow between two objects with striking force.

We are looking at the definition, not your opinion.

Seriously, tell me how a sickness can buffet. Before you answer look up the Greek, and its definition.

Brother, I believe someone can be spiritually buffeted by a messenger sent from satan. I think you've hit on something by saying persecution was Paul's thorn, but you are limiting what that persecution could have been.

Re: What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

I know some speculate that is was lust or sin....But didn't he seek God 3 times for this? If it was sin or lust, God would have delivered.... jmo. I am going to speculate that he had to deal with a bitter, jealous brother in the Lord who was calling people and telling lies on him.....

Where is Daniel Alicia when you need him? Are there any other educators here that can explain a definition to Divided?

How about this for an education, you don't base theology on what MIGHT have been Paul’s thorn in the flesh. It makes as much sense as basing forgiveness of sins on what Jesus wrote in the sand.
