I've never been a pastors wife either and have no idea how that idea started spreading.
Granted, there are many political benefits to it, assuming your a pastors wife in the states and can drive around in the Lincoln Town car....... You tend to get treated a bit like Jackie O....... And get great gifts for Christmas!

I think we have all really missed an obvious issue. Since when is it ok for me to EVER preach "cultural issues" as scripture? By the very admission of something being cultural, it takes it off the table.

Not as scripture, but I do think there is a place for addressing cultural concerns when they are clearly addressed as such.

I think to a very minor extent. I think that this is what ends up with in the "cookie cutter" effect. But help me out, can you give me an example of what your thinking so I can understand what you mean?
