As ministers, there is a scriptural charge to not add to nor take away from what is written in the Word. Some on here have called what was originally posted mocking of a pastor. The truth is, it is not. The Pastor added to the Word. He added something that helped to push an agenda, and this is inexcusable for a minister to do. There is a sacred trust that when a minister preaches, writes, or does anything associated with the Word, he sticks to the Word, adding nothing or taking nothing away.

Some hold the ministry to an ever high pedastal, and in some cases this is right. When a preacher acts right, shows godliness continually, and breeds a walk of repentance and faith in their people, such a man is worthy of double honor before the Lord in praise to God. But when a preacher does what I have seen here, that man is not above criticism. He has chosen to violate the Word, and should be held accountable. And the good thing about our generation is that we have th ability to do so even when we are not right there at the same physical place.

All who consider mocking, it is not. Your golden calves can quickly turn to hamburger in light of scripture. You sit and twist, but when the truth comes forth, you squirm. This was a clear violation of the sacred word, and should be brought forth to show this error, so as to help others not be deceived.

MB, McKee disrespected the Word by adding to it. A preacher who does so should be brought to account for what was said, period.

Well, and really, his name wasn't even brought into this until he arrived on the scene owning up to it and then telling me he wouldn't answer me because I'm a fool (well, he was a little more passive-aggressive, and decided to use a scripture reference about fools, which was ironically not even accurately interpreted by him -- and credit to him, he came back and gave an answer).

Ummm, that isn't exactly true. His name was in the title of the thread until you asked Admin to change it. You're welcome.

It wasn't that quick, because if I do lurk, I'm not here for long. Dragging his comments over here to have the wagons circle is what I don't like about his place anymore. It wasn't necessary to do it that way. You didn't have to say a "pastor from FB" or however you worded it. That is where some of the disrespect is making people not interested to participate.

I would like many people to come back, but I know they won't. No one wants pellets raining down on them all day. It's just a waste of time.

I would think that we all have made mistakes where we realize we have no right to point out, aggressively, the errors/faults/opinions of others.

Discussing the passage would have been enough. But, IMO, you are the one that made it personal. And I don't mean to offend, because I do like you. It's just that while we are on the subject, we might as well lay the cards on the table and - well - read them. LOL!

UnTraditional, we could say that about anyone whose interpretation differs from ours. It isn't your place to bring another Christian "to account"; only to persuade them to a more excellent way, assuming you believe your understanding constitutes a more excellent understanding. Bro. McKee certainly didn't do ANYTHING wrong or sinful by posting his understanding or application of a parable, and it's a ludicrous suggestion to make.
