Re: Here Comes the Bride...............

Romans 14:5
One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

We can only be persuaded in our own minds, not anyone else's.

First I want to thank faithit166 for her testimony and her transparency. I want to follow that up with this statement and encouragement. It is not our job as Christians to rebuke or reprove each ohters personal walk with God. If faithit166 says the Lord spoke to her, I believe her, I have no grounds to disbelieve her. This is HER testimony and I rejoice that she is living for God and not backslid. This is Her walk and it obviously is working for her.

I have no right to judge anybodys convictions and consecrations to God. Not only is it none of my business per se, but if I'm not careful I could throw a stumbling block in front of them by questioning there dedication and there expressive walk with Christ.

This is a double edged sword, because no matter where you are at in Christ, it is YOUR walk and we need to give each other space to live and walk it out. I have a problem with those who critique anothers standards (dress or otherwise), as I also have a problem with those who openly condemn those who do not hold the same standards as they do. It is wrong on both counts.

If you have things that weigh on your conscience, then you must deal with those things. Regardless of how they got there (preached, taught, etc.), you must reconcile your conscience with the WORD and with your walk so you can be at peace with your God.
It is our job to try the Spirits. It is our job to make sure of what is being preached, that it is biblical.

If one person says God told them it was wrong to wear pants but not "I became convicted against wearing pants by reading the bible", I think that sort of notion should be scrutinized, not the person making it.

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Re: Here Comes the Bride...............

it obvious in scripture jewelry and such were signs of a favor and blessings of a husband to a wife. God used the same in Ezekial, jewelry/adornment was spoken of as favor and blessing, problem came in when it was used for sinful purposes.

Taking away jewelry was a sign of judgement or time of mourning. Even Today women as well as men don't wear overly colorful clothes or much jewelry to a funeral.
