It means you agree with a lot of what he says. I also agree with him 9 out of 10 times. However, what makes him a jerk is not his opinion, but how he expresses it. It is possible to think someone is terrible and not cut out to be an AI (or whatever), yet not be nasty about it. Rejection is hard enough. His nastiness makes it worse for those kids because he crushes their vulnerable spirits with the ridicule on top of it.
Of course I know nastiness is good for ratings and so it will stand...

Truth is not the issue. Lack of tact is. You can express to someone that they are not cut out for the job, yet not be so cruel about it. Paula, though she reminds me of a foo-foo dog, at least usually tries.... but like I said, nastiness is better for ratings.

Like the girl who claims to have sang for the mayor of Houston who, when she auditioned, never said a word to the song, just made weird gluttal sounds. If I were Simon, I'd have asked her if the mayor of Houston was deaf or hard of hearing.....LOL!
Not to mention that her gluttal sounds weren't on key either!

I agree to a point...but could he compromise and sing "worldly" music, and shake his hips???

I agree...I said that I don't like it when he gets personal...it's one thing to say "you can't sing", but to say "it's the worst thing I have every heard" and then comment on them personally, but some of those people really truly MUST be there to get slammed by Simeon, I mean really if they have never had anyone tell them they can't sing before then they must not have opened their mouths...in public!

Alaina Alexander?
I hope one of this week's eliminations will be Antonella Barba. Not that I don't think she has a nice voice or anything...she just tweaked me wrong in Hollywood week. Her and her best friend argued so much for the 'group' song that the other girl was distraught and ended up being eliminated. That was just wrong.

Best performances in my opinion are according to the following:
Chris Richardson-I really like this guy! He's got the voice and he's got the moves!! I love him!!
AJ Tabaldo-Excellent!
Chris Sligh-Great job!!!
Nick Pedro-I didn't like the song choice, but he did a great job on it!
Sundance Head-did a wonderful job.
Phil Stacey-slightly off beat a little, but good performance overall.
Blake Lewis-a rough start and seemed to 'miss it' a couple times during the song, but I liked it overall
and I loved his performance of it.
Brandon Rogers-not the song I would have picked for him, but he did well enough.
Jared Cotter-nothing special, IMO.
Sanjaya Malakar-how did he get this far? Horrible performance! Off-key, jumping notes...just horrible.
