Michael has discovered tadpoles.... THOUSANDS of them in the back yard. Michael wants to keep them all as "pets" and watch them turn into frogs. I agreed, under the conditions that once they lose the tails and develop legs, that they will be released near a pond or river so that they can survive. Lord knows I do NOT want pet "frogs" in this house.

Hubby helped him catch probably a hundred or so of them, and they are setting up an aquarium so that Michael can watch them grow through various stages. Should be a fun project for Michael at least.... I already told them I am NOT responsible for making sure they are fed, have fresh water changes, etc...

It will be interesting to see how long Michael's interest in this lasts.

Tina, my biggest phobia in life is frogs/toads. My oldest son brought one home one day in an ice cream bucket someone gave him. He had his name written on the side and wanted to keep him 'forever'. I made him take it several blocks away from us to release it!

I do notice tho that we have milkweed in my front flower box again (I know it's a weed). I like to take the kids out to look for little caterpillars walking on the underside of the leaves. Then we pick off the leaf, put it in a jar (covered with mesh) and put a fresh leaf in as needed. In just a short time we get a chrysallis and then in about 2 weeks, a Monarch butterfly, which we can let loose. The kids have a great time with that every year.

Hey everyone!! How was your weekend? Mine was busy, busy and I was sick on top of it all, but we had fun and today I literally cannot talk above a whisper and even then it is really really faint. I had a sore throat all weekend and then we took our youth group to Kings Island yesterday and rode roller coasters ALL day long and it just took my voice completely away! Which is bad because I answer the phone all day at work and greet students. BUt I can't afford to take another day off after just being off for forever so I am here trying to stick it out. Please pray that my voice returns quickly.

Howdy!

Tonight we had to take my 8 year old to the ER. He got hit in the head with a baseball bat. He got glued up but they aren't sure if it will hold--it was deep and may need stitches.

It wasn't until we were walking into the ER that I found out who was swinging the bat.....HIM! That boy is so accident prone....lol

Lol! That sounds like something I would do and def would have done as a child!! I have always been accident prone! I am the cause of 2 scars in my brothers head, I was just looking at them the other day and we were talking about when they happened.

The RN had a hard time keeping a straight face when he found out Chase had hit himself...lol

The doctor thought she recognized us and when I told her we had never been there before she said she assumed since I had 4 kids I HAD to have been in sometime. I said something about I'm sure she will see more of us now that it is summer break. So she asked Chase when he got out of school and he said....2:55!

We were only in the first few hours of summer vacation and were in the ER! LOL

On another note we had the weirdest thing happen to us this morning. IT was around 3:30 am and our home phone rang. My husband and I assumed something was wrong and that there was an emergency so I rushed to answer it. No one was on the line so I looked at the caller ID and it was my husbands cell phone number. So I go back to my room and the cell phone is sitting by the TV untouched. Clint went through outgoing calls and the last one was in fact to our home number a few minutes earlier. Totally creeped us out!

LOL. Sorry. We probably shouldn't laugh. But that really is funny. How's he doing now?

We have to go to Keith's baseball game tonight. They have pictures taken prior to the game, so we have to get there early. And it's going to be over 90 degrees today!!! Oh joy!!!!

I need to ask all of you to pray for me if you would please. I had some dental work done last week. They put a temporary crown on. The permanent one will be done June 7th. When they do the temporary crown they use some sort of 'rope' that is medicated. I had an allergic reaction to the medication so now my mouth is full of blisters. It is very, very painful! My dentist said they see about 2 or 3 of these a year and most people get 5-6 blisters. I have 25-30. He put me on an antibiotic 3x a day and gave me a jar of the stuff they dumb your gum with before they give you a shot. I'm to use that before I eat. And then rinse with this peroxide stuff several times a day. The whole key to this is to avoid an infection. Please pray that the blisters heal very quickly!! Thanks.

Praying for ya! Bryen has had that happen to him before...I forget what it was a reaction to but his mouth was just FULL of blisters. It was horrible and painful!

Chase is doing good this morning. His eyebrow area is very swollen--he has ball pictures Saturday so I hope the swelling goes down some.

Queen E!

Here's the cutest idea.......the lady that sits next to me at work took her wedding dress (and it was her mom's too) and for her daughter's first birthday, she let her wear it for a portrait. They just clipped it in the back to "fit" her.

She's going to do it each birthday!
