According to theBREASTFEEDING ANSWER BOOK, published by La Leche League International, no evidence exists that the nursing mother's use of hair-care products, such as hair dyes and permanents, has any effect on her breastfeeding baby. When a mother uses hair-care products, some of the chemicals will be absorbed through her skin. If her scalp is healthy and intact, less will be absorbed than if the skin on her scalp is scratched or abraded.

Well, Ariel is only on formula so I am not worried about that part of it, I am worried about the hormones and how it will affect my hair. I don't want it to not take and my money be wasted and I don't want it to fry my hair. I am thinking that surely by then it will have been almost 3 months and already through my first period - surely my hormones are will be back to normal at least for the most part.

I got a perm a month after my last one was born. My hair did great. Normally it is fairly hard to take the first time but it did wonderful.

Speaking of hormones...lol

My husband was suppose to take me away for the weekend next week. I had it all set up with my mom so she could take the boys (sometimes that is more trouble than it is worth!)

Now my husband can't get off work. I tried scheduling it for the following weekend and my mom won't watch them then...

I will sis....maybe later today if not for sure by next week....adoption touches almost every family from one direction or the other...it is amazing to me how many people I know who are part of the triad.....birth mom, child, adoptive parents.....amazing!

Hello ladies. I am sooooo tired!! I have felt like I am a zombie for 3 weeks now, I keep thinking it is going to get better but I feel like it is getting worse!!!!!!!!!!! I never have time to catch up on sleep. We gogogogogo and then Ariel likes to stay up until midnight and of course I am up at least once in the night feeding her or she is in my bed (which causes for me getting little sleep) and I just can't get ahead in my sleeping. Everyweekend I tell myself I am going to sleep in or take a big nap and it never happens.

Ariel now weighs 10lbs & 9oz!! She is growing!! But unfortunately she did get shots yesterday so last night was a rough night for her and me, and she woke up with a fever this morning.
