Believe it or not, Lois doesn't allow pastor bashing on her forum. She doesn't even allow what little AFF does in regard to pastor bashing.
She does recognize that there is a problem, and I concur, as do most here including yourself, right?
Lois bans people who do nothing but want to rehash their problems without moving on. The purpose of her forum has less to do with what happened and more to do with what that person is going to do about getting over it and moving on.
Part of moving on is telling the story. If we are still telling it years later, moving on hasn't taken place.
I totally disagree with you - I have a personal situation myself and I have "moved on" but I have used the story with others that have gone through what I went through because I wanted them to know I understood Hopefully, I gave them helpful information on how I got through it - You can move on without forgetting. My situation made me stronger so why would I want to forget it - I share with others how it made me the person I am.

Another "I hate pastors because they are all evil" thread.
Lois will be so proud.
I don't believe anyone said they are all evil and yes there are definately ones out there that are awesome!!! I HAVE an awesome pastor. At my previous home church I had an awesome pastor. A pastor is held to a higher standard than most - especially pentecostal pastors and when they act in a way that is out of line it hurts deeper. Do you think no one should talk about a bad experience they had with a pastor? It just seems that when people talk about their bad experiences other preachers get offended. I don't know why - it's the truth; it happens, and most of us are hopefully smart enough to know that it doesn't happen everywhere - but for those who it has happened to it may help to know what happened and how that person dealt with it and moved on.
You want me to make a list of "one time..." from my own experiences? I know it would be a straight ticket to a week vacation from AFF in Ban City. But it's all true. Painful, ugly, incredible, disturburbing but true.
Let's start with that one time when my pastor's attempt at "outreach" resulted in my being interrogated by local police and Federal agents for over 6 hours.
Problems do arise in these pastor/saint relationships.
