I gave notice at one firm, and knew that I would then be subject to not having a job at the time it was accepted. So I placed it on the bosses desk on a weekend, called on Monday and made arrangements to bring in my key.

On reflection it was a carnal move on my part, and if I had to do it again would have chosen differently.
