I had one guy sitting in my office with me and the elder just blasting away at DKB with both barrels. He had just come fresh from an unnamed West Coast conf. that they don't hold anymore and was literally fuming.

"But Bro... !" he pleaded. "He's stealing saints from ...'s church!" The guy was obviously and aggressively proselytizing us like someone who had way too much coffee.

I seriously doubted at the time, and to this day, that folks close to the situation could possibly be as agitated as this guy was. And I very much doubted that the pastor who was supposedly "victimized" by this "saint stealing" felt anything other than good will to the new home missionary in town. I greatly admired that pastor and still think he preached the best GC sermon ever in the history of the UPC.

I got that in the first draft. This is very well worded as well.

Why can't we just all get along?

Re: DKB: The Leader

I still feel the same about everything that I said. I will admit that I was fuming before I logged in. After I logged in, I stopped, thought about it and threw caution to the wind, all the while thinking - Whatever! - and I posted.

I wish I would have written out my feelings in Stew's style. For that reason, I can only be sorry and apologize for posting when I was angry. But, it's done and I can't erase it.

I'll try to do better in the future.

Because some people are mean to other people!

Does this speak to his character? Do others want to hear MB's side of the story? Just asking.

I'm wondering how you thought I was going to interpret that, Bratti?

When I initially read you talking about a man that hated MB, I thought it was funny and decided to play off of your post. Yes, I did carry it too far, but I'm quite sure that I don't hate him. Besides, I never said anything about his character. I never made comments on that. I left it open to how I felt, albeit, joking, but never mentioned anything about his character.

You sure about that? How do you interpret that, Bratti?

I'm not turning that on you. I have good reason to question your posts to me.

I am now in my happy place......

Thank you, Raven. I could never be mad at Bratti and I don't think she would stay mad at me either.
