I realized a quirk I had last night when putting away my bath towels - - - I have blue and brown towels and I have to have them stacked every other color. I also use them every other color.....lol!

I do not know if it is a quirk or a pet peeve.

1. I HAVE to be early to EVERYTHING or I cannot function. At least 20 to 30 minutes early, no later than 10 minutes early. If I can't be early, I would rather not go at all.

2. My towels have to be folded a certain way. No one but my mom does it like I do. And don't offer to help me fold or hang up clothes if you are staying with me, cause all my clothes on the hanger must be facing one way, button or front of garment facing right side.

3. I can eat my own cooking if I am by myself or my son, but if company comes over, I will fix my plate but not eat it. I am worried that no one will like what I cooked, how I cooked it, how hot or cold it is.

4. I travel the same way to work each day. I NEVER go another direction, cause it will just mess up my day. I also come home from work the same way every day, but it a whole differnet way than the way I went to work.

I guess with pages of hijacking I could participate in the thread too.

If I hit a spoon on a pot (like after stirring a pot of chili or something) I will always hit it in multiples of 4. But.... it used to be multiples of 8... so I'm getting better.

My husband would agree with you. He is NEVER on time to anything. Work, church, events of any kind. I think that is why I have gone overboard on being EXTREAMLY early to everything.

Whether or not I eat is not affected by who is there or who isn't but I am a very hard critic on my own cooking. Even more so when we have company.

When I used to have to commute (I work from home now) I always knew exactly how many minutes it took to get to the next exit, the next light etc. At any given point in the trip (which was an hour to work and an hour & a half home) I could tell you how long it would be until we got home (barring any major traffic anomalies of course).

Also... If I am on a trip and the speed limit is 70 I will go 75 because 75 is 1.25x a "mile a minute". So... every four minutes I go five miles. Then I can keep calculating how long until we get there.... or to exit X etc. For instance. If I see that there are 85 miles left until exit 473 then I will immediately think through the following... 85 divided by 5 is 17. 17 times 4 is 68. 68 more minutes. It is now 3:17pm. I'll get there at 4:25pm. I'll then recalculate again every few exits to make sure I am still on target.

I constantly calculate everything. I love math, budgets, forecasts of when I'll pay this off or get to that place.

Hmmm... I guess that's a quirk huh?

I have to have my towels folded a certain way too. One of my sisters came for a visit and wanted me to roll my towels and place them on the shelf. I said, "Fine, do whatever you want. I'll fix them when you leave." LOL!

LOL! I'd enjoy having you regardless of what time you showed up. If it, as Cindy said, is rude and takes attention from the Hostess to arrive a few minutes late, I would have to say that my parties are about my guests and not about me.

So, come early, on time or even a little late. It makes no difference to me. Just come and you would be welcome!
